If you want to know about animal homes, then this is the place to look.  Animals lose their homes in different ways.  One way animals lose grassland homes is by overgrazing.  When this happens, the land often turns into desert.  Another way is by tearing down woods, forests and rain forests.  Some people are trying to protect habitat.  This is something you can do too.  Environmentalists are trying to think of ways to protect habitat.  Throwing trash on the ground can make plants and animals sick. Throw your trash in the garbage can.  Also, remember to recycle when you can.  When you see an animal in front of your car, stop so that you do not kill it.  Tearing down habitat can make animals endangered or even extinct.  There are less than one thousand giant pandas still alive today.
